FAQs

After a five-year professional stay in China, Marie-Josée Caya (MJ) grasped how the Western “system” in which we were educated – and in which we live – has been undergoing profound transformation since the events of 9/11.

She has been developing DOT (Dare Other Things / Discover Dare Transform).
Following more than fifteen years of research, exhaustive analyses and readings, reflections, meetings, discussions and training, including Leading from the Emerging Future (Transforming Business, Society and Self) Based on Theory U from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), MJ has developed the DOT Training which is impactful and prompts immediate action.

How can we cultivate our curiosity, sharpen our understanding of everything that happens around us? How can we develop our courage, our inner harmony, in the face of elusive collective anxiety? How can we evolve harmoniously in this changing world?

The 13.5 hours of DOT Training, and the preparation materials for each session, will help you understand what is happening in our economic system and find your personal bearings and professional direction.

DOT Training has been provided primarily by video conference since May 2020.

The DOT Training Zoom link will be sent to you by email, along with the preparation materials for the first session, once you have registered and we have received your payment.

It is important to allow time to prepare for each meeting. Preparation materials are part of the training. These readings and video links will be sent to you in advance and we expect you to have read all the materials before each meeting, so you will need to obtain a notebook.

This preparation will take you one to two hours before each meeting.

During DOT Training, we suggest arriving 5 minutes before the start of each session to log in and get settled in. Please note that each training starts and ends at the scheduled time.

  • – DOT Training is given in small groups and out of respect for everyone, the comments exchanged during each session must remain confidential
  • – All points of view are welcome and should be respected
  • – Those who do not feel like sharing their thoughts do not have to do so.
  • – Discovering or rediscovering one's own "X" is a process that requires honest introspection and sometimes requires letting go of the image one wanted to project.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED:  We currently have a satisfaction rate of 100%. If after the first 3 DOT Training sessions you no longer wish to continue, regardless of your reason, we will reimburse you 50% of the amount you paid when you registered. If the dates no longer suit you, you can do or continue the DOT Training at a subsequent session. If an exceptional circumstance (death, serious illness, last-minute contract) occurs during the training period, you can complete your DOT Training with a group.

In short, this expression means to feel in the right place, at the right time, in one's life.
It’s feeling like you’ve found your life balance and a kind of inner harmony.

Being on your “X” refers to the idea of being exactly where you want to be in your life, both personally and professionally.

Where does this expression come from?

MJ's first job was as an actress. When, in theater, cinema or on TV, an actor/actress has to be in a specific place during a line, or even a word, the technicians stick tape on the floor in the shape of an "X".
The director can say:
“At this point, you go to your “X”!” If the actress only has one foot on her “X”, and – for dramatic effect – all the lights go out to turn on only one spotlight on the X, the actress will only have half of her body lit… She/he is not aligned with her/his “X”.

According to the magazine HEC Montreal Management, being on your “X” means:

– Be enthusiastic, even passionate about the activity
– Express and showcase your talents
– Feeling like you are contributing to something important.

In just 9 meetings, DOT helps you find your “X”!
